Financial coach hires to stay with Houston Astros

The Houston Astros are hiring a financial coach to stay on the staff.

Financial coach Kevin Haines has been with the Astros for three seasons, a source told ESPN.

The Astros have also hired Scott Cawley, who has been an assistant to general manager Jeff Luhnow since 2016.

Hainese has been the Astros’ financial advisor for the past two seasons.

He joined the Astros organization as an analyst for Major League Baseball’s Diamondbacks organization in 2017 and helped develop their 2018 World Series championship team.

“I’m honored to join the Houston Astros organization and am looking forward to working with the team and fans,” Hainse said.

“It is a privilege to have been with such an exceptional organization for so long and to continue to build this great organization.”
